Ms. Oana Cobeanu is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca. Her dissertation is on the role of response expectancies and cognitive biases in cancer patients (e.g. how they influence the intensity of symptoms secondary to chemotherapy.) She is also a licensed cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. Ms. Cobeanu has been involved in several research projects, including 1) a clinical trial (still in progress) on the efficiency of three types of cognitive-behavioral therapy for Generalized Anxiety Disorder, 2) a clinical trial on cognitive-behavioral bibliotherapy for mild to moderate depressive symptomatology, 3) using Virtual Reality in pain management and 4) using Virtual Reality in the treatment of phobias.
